While we can’t offer an official play, who is going to derail American Pharoah? You can make an argument for Dortmund and Firing Line, but American Pharoah showed such powerful acceleration in the Derby.
Owner Bob Baffert is grumbling about American Pharoah’s draw on the inside rail.
But down the stretch, who can catch him?
Odds at 4-5 aren’t a bettor’s dream. And any kind of trifecta combination of American Pharoah, Dortmund and Firing Line won’t have value.
We will likely sit back and enjoy the mile and 3/16 run. But a few bucks on the favorite probably won’t break us either.
