Here at Double Gutshot, our favored play on Saturday was Air Force at +25.5. While No. 4 ranked Michigan State vaulted to an early lead, the Falcons covered nicely despite squandering scoring opportunities in the red zone.
What to make of all this?
Clearly there’s some volatility in this trading market.
Does that mean all favorites are a sham? Nope.
Does that mean underdogs are always the obvious play? Not necessarily.
What it means is that each game has to be looked at thoroughly for trends, statistics, motivation, weather and scores of other factors.
But it never hurts to fade the public.
And for the record, winless UNLV is 2-1 against the spread.
